Antonia Castillo (she/her) is an American artist who works primarily in photo, video, and film-based mediums. Her projects center around ideas of womanhood and representation within western media culture. Visually, she draws much inspiration from the history of cinema while conceptually taking from her own experiences as a first-generation, U.S.-born Filipina-American woman. Her goals as an artist is to redefine past discriminative notions of feminism, uplift the stories of people from marginalized communities and discover what it truly means to be a person of color living in the diaspora.
